FIREGUARD® tanks are a Fire-Rated double walled fuel storage and management solution for gasoline, diesel, lubricants and other hydrocarbon liquids – from 6,900 to 61,800 Litres.
The storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids define minimum separation distances between fuel storage areas with buildings or public areas. UNITY FIREGUARD® tanks allow you to greatly reduce these distances and offers a greater range of practical solutions.

Our double-walled tanks are designed as integral secondary containment and therefore do not require independent bunds for leak containment. Double-walled tank = SFL primary tank + fire-resistant interstitial space + secondary external tank.

Double-wall tank construction consists of up to 6mm mild steel primary and secondary tank construction with fire resistant lightweight concrete insulation.

Tank comprises of dip and fill points, aluminium gauged dipstick, galvanized updraft vent breather system and arrangement of threaded suction/return ports and emergency vents.

Our fire-rated tanks not only passed the UL 2 hour fire test but exceeded it with a consistent 4-hour fire rating as standard. It has also be designed to provide additional protection to the primary tank against projectile impact and vehicle impact.
FIREGUARD® TANKS HAVE A 2- or 4-HOUR FIRE RATING AS STANDARD
FIREGUARD® tanks are built to Underwriters Laboratories, UL 142 and UL 2085 specifications and carry the FIREGUARD® certification mark. They also also meet the CARB, California Air Resource Board, testing requirements for air emissions and are built in accordance with the Steel Tank Institute’s F-941 standard.
FIREGUARD® UL-2085 construction standard meets and exceeds all the requirements set forth by UL-2080 for Fire Resistant Tanks.
Safe Separation Distances
The Hazardous Materials Code from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) outlines fundamental safeguards for the storage, use, and handling of flammable and combustible liquids and hazardous materials in and around all occupancies and facilities within a commercial environment.
Safeguards such as defined minimum separation distances between fuel storage areas and buildings or public areas. However, practical on-site conditions can challenge these minimum separation distances and in doing so, break NFPA guidelines. That is how a FIREGUARD® TANK can help.
